Short & Sweet
Irem, Burak & their daughters are a vital part of our North Carolina family. It is not complete without them. Irem has been diagnosed with having now eight nonmalignant tumors in her brain which have caused all sorts of complications. They have gone back to Turkey to be with family and proceed with surgery to remove the tumors.
About Irem & Family
Irem Isitmen Akinci is a beautiful, intelligent, caring young woman living in Monroe, NC. She is 34 years old and married to Burak Akinci. They have twin daughters who turn four in July. Irem is the owner of La Vida Mocha, a Monroe, NC coffee shop. She recently has began to suffer gran mal seizures two to three times per week, and several other smaller ones several times per week. Irem is returning to her native Turkey for medical exams on June 26 2011, as she has no medical insurance here in the US. Her MRI and other expenses will be extraordinary in Turkey. Her deductible will be $25000! Our objective is to raise funds to help her with medical expenses. Please help us help her. Faithfully, Irem has given generously to her community; now, it’s time for us to reciprocate her generosity. Let’s embrace Irem and show her how much we love her through our prayers and financial contributions. As the name indicates, all monies collected will be used for Irem's mounting medical bills incurred. On behalf of Irem and her family, we sincerely appreciate any contributions to "Irem's Medical Fund."
If you miss the humor and family atmosphere that the Akinci family gives to all of us then you must give back!
"You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving. The great acts of love are done by those who are habitually performing small acts of kindness. We pardon to the extent that we love. Love is knowing that even when you are alone, you will never be lonely again. And great happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved. Loved for ourselves. And even loved in spite of ourselves."
