Michael Turkic

interCulture casting & management is the brain-child of respected actor, director & producer Michael Turkic and talented writer, media consultant and analyst William Uy Vu Le

Since 1981, Michael Turkic has been appeared in or directed some of the largest commercial stage productions in Australia. An original Australian cast member of the international hit, Les Miserables, Michael has since 1985 worked at the top of his profession. His credits as either actor and/or director include: Company (Sydney Theatre Company) Les Miserables (Cameron Mackintosh) Chess (Theatre Royal Sydney) The Secret Garden (State Theatre Sydney) Grease The Arena Spectacular, Tim Rice's Concert Spectacular, Happy Days The Mega Musical, as well as projects for ABC TV. He was a regular featured actor in the children;s TV series Ship To Shore as well as Andrew Denton's The Money Or The Gun. A respected educator, he has lectured at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, West Australian Academy Of Performing Arts, and the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music.


William Uy Vu Le is a writer with extensive experience in film, television, literature and media, particularly in the Asia Pacific rim. He worked for Persuasive Networks in HK and specialised in content aggregation, planning, forecasting and social media. He assisted with market research, branding, scheduling, acquisitions and co-production of two luxury lifestyle and educational channels in Asia-Pacific Pay TV market.

He also was strategy advisor to the direction of a full-service digital media agency. He assisted with 360-degree video content management solutions (CMS), convergence technologies and distribution needs in multi-platform or IPTV products.

William is well connected to the Vietnamese community and to key demographics of Australia and as such brings a wealth of talent identification and credibility to the business.

What We Need & What You Get

interCulture casting & management is in the start-up phase. Australia has approximately 47% of its population from a non Anglo Saxon background. This is currently not represented in the main-stream media, on stage, or in the web space insofar as it emanates from this country. Our business will represent and market actors, singers, dancers, choreographers, presenters, spokespeople, models and skilled artists from the diasporas of Asia, The Middle East, Middle Europe, the sub-continent, Pacific Islands and beyond.

Our model is to not only divide the business into both casting for feature film, TV, stage, event, corporate training, single projects, festivals and the like, but also to represent and manage the careers of up and coming artists, and artists with promise whose current management is not adding value.

We need $15,000 to open the business and have the following infrastructure in place:
