Who are we…
We are 25 emerging photographers with a diverse range of interests and styles, yet we are united with a common passion for storytelling. Our photographers have documented stories locally, nationally and internationally; from Sneaker Heads in the UK to the Mongolian Premier League and the development of Dubai.
What is Index…
Index is our way of sharing these stories with you - our audience. The diversity of the work does not lend itself to a single exhibition, so we have chosen to produce a book that will be supported by an online presence. This frees us from the time constraints imposed by galleries, whilst simultaneously enabling us to reach a much larger audience. The finished book will act as a springboard, propelling us into a highly competitive industry, with the intention of enabling us to continue sharing similar stories in the future.
The book is designed to showcase our strongest work and share it with the world. There is a story that will appeal to every audience, but we need your help to reach them. We have already invested financially to create a web presence for Index (www.indexphoto.co.uk), but your support will turn the stories into a physical entity which can be enjoyed and shared for years to come.
Below is a list of some of the stories which our photographers have been working on most of which can be seen on our website* -

Why a book…
Many fellow photography graduates will be organising exhibitions up and down the country, we have decided to buck the trend and do something different. This book enables us to not only share our stories, but also to give something back to our subjects, who have allowed us into their lives.
Why we need you…
We need to raise £10000 to make the transition from concept to print. The money will be used to fund the designing, initial print run and launch of Index. If our target is met we are looking to allocate 4-6 pages to each contributing photographer. The finished book will be soft backed, A4 in size with a portrait orientation, and the pages will be printed on beautiful 180gsm paper. We will be using a professional book designer to help with the layout and concept of the book, as well as the curation of the images with in it. We are then hoping to produce a print run of 500 copies and host a launch party. The more money we raise, the better a book we can produce. If we exceed our target it will also allow for a bigger print run and launch party.
Should we fail to reach our target, we may be forced to compromise on the quality of the book, as well as the size of the print run/ launch party, but our aim is produce a book no matter what.

What do you get…
We are confident that your support will ensure the book is produced to the highest possible standard, and in exchange we want you to share the rewards. We have a range of incentives to suit every budget, and truly value any support offered. A contribution of £1 will buy our eternal love and gratitude, whilst £2500 would make you our primary sponsor with your logo printed on the back cover of the book as well as all promotional material! But those are the two extremes; we also offer prints of varying sizes, numbered and signed editions of the book, and even a meal for two before the official launch party.
If you choose one of the incentives which enables you to choose a print the procedure will be as follows; Once the campaign has ended we will email the eligible supporters with a PDF containing all of the available images, which will be numbered. All you will be required to do is tell us which number corresponds to your chosen print, and we will take care of the rest. It is that simple!
And if you happen to have seen an image by one of our photographer's that is not in the document, simply let us know and we will do our best to source you a print of that image!
As a group we are all experienced photographers, who have been educated in the art of story telling. This is our first foray into the world of print, following previous success in the realms of digital publication.
We are the founding year behind Issue 1 of Pig House Pictures, which has since evolved into a quarterly online magazine dedicated to showcasing the photographic talent emerging from Falmouth University.
In addition to this we have collectively exhibited work in both Falmouth, at the Poly and The Fish Factory Art Space, as well as in London at Calumet Photographic on Drummond Street, Box Park in Shoreditch and Platform in Hackney,

Every little helps…
Even if you are unable to contribute financially, we still need your help. Please share this page and tell people about our project. We believe in these stories and want as many people to see them as possible, whether that is online or in print!
