What is Imaginary Anonymous?

My name is Austin Kolodney, and I am a writer and director pursuing my dreams of making movies here at USC's School of the Cinematic Arts. My next project, Imaginary Anonymous, is a darkly comic take on Imaginary Friends. Imagine a world where imaginary friends continued to exist even after their creators have outgrown them. They'd probably have some serious abandonment issues, and that's where the support group Imaginary Anonymous steps in. Imaginary Anonymous is the story of Frank, an ex-imaginary best friend reluctant to attend his first meeting. There are many other twists and turns that take place throughout the film, but I'd rather not spoil them!

This project is very near and dear to my heart, and I would love nothing more than to bring my vision to the screen, but I desperately need your help in doing so!

What We Need & What You Get

We need your help! This film will require money for:

  • Costumes and Props
  • Craft Services
  • Location Permits
  • Equipment rentals and transportation fees
  • Hiring a Stunt Coordinator
  • Hiring a Studio Teacher for the child actors
  • Festival Submission Fees (To share it with the world!)

I have saved up a lot the past semester with the specific intention of funding this project, but unfortunately it is not enough for such a costly venture. Help in any shape or form would greatly be appreciated, and I have even assembled rewards for all of my sponsors! Read them on the right side of the screen :D
