What is I Do Believe: Tajci Tours America?
I Do Believe: Tajci Tours America is a documentary about Tajci, a international pop superstar who gave up the glitz and glamour and became an inspirational singer/songwriter. The film will follow Tajci and her family as they complete their journey of 1,000 mostly free concerts throughout America.
Why Are We Doing This?
- To preserve these last intimate moments leading up to and including the historic 1000th concert for everyone on the journey - Tajci, her family, her fans, and the people they've met and inspired over the past dozen or so years
- To help take Tajci and her inspirational message to the next level so that she can share it with more people around the world.
- To show that by donating, you are giving more than just money. You are giving a piece of yourself, just like Tajci and her family, and thus become a part of something much bigger than all of us.
When Does This All Happen? We just learned about Tajci, her story and her message. We're so inspired by it that we've made this priority number one. Why? Because shows 989-1000 start on October 11, 2013 - just a few weeks away! Click HERE for more details.

Why Should You Donate
Because as you can see, there is no time to meet with investors. And even if there was, investors are always looking for a return on their money. This campaign isn't for a film about getting. It's one about giving a piece of yourself - just like Tajci and her family have - to be a part of something greater. We were inspired to give with our time and our expertise and we need you to give by contributing financially.
How Else Can You Help?
If you can't contribute financially, just spread the word - it's easy using the IndieGogo share tools. You can forward this via email, post on FaceBook, or Tweet about it. And if you hang out with actual people these days, talk about it - people will listen.
Who Is On Board?
At the time of the launch of this campaign, here is who is attached. We're adding more team members continually and will be posting in the updates section.
Shannon Kring Buset (director) - Shannon is an award-winning author, director, and producer whose national PBS cooking docuseries won an Emmy in its first season. Her debut documentary film, 2012: The Beginning, was the most-watched program at MIPDoc 2012 in Cannes and went on to air on more than a dozen top networks worldwide. Shannon and her work have appeared on networks including CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, FOX, and Lifetime.
Mileen Patel (producer) - Mileen is a former strategy consultant and entrepreneur who switched to TV and film production in 2009. Since then, he has produced small budget shorts and features, and was one of the co-founders of the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, serving as its programming director for the first two years.
Where Does The Money Go?
We're asking for a minimum of $65,000 (USD), which will cover the full production cost of the film. Remember, if we hit the goal, we'll also be getting a bonus donation from the venues and towns where Tajci has performed before.
When Do I Get To See The Movie?
We'll be filming for a month (2-3 weeks on tour and follow up days). After that we'll be in post-production for 3-4 months. Look for the film to be out by March 2014.
