A Little About Us
The Attic is a family owned and operated business that has been open since 1992. The Attic is a funky eclectic vintage store in The Arts District in Downtown Las Vegas. Due to a unforeseen accident that occurred on July 11, 2010, (http://www.ktnv.com/news/local/141219613.html) our building was damaged beyond repair and forced to move to another location. We have found a great location in an old 1950's ice warehouse located in the Downtown area. Our new spot has a lot of space, parking, and room to grow again. It has taken us about a year of repairs and upgrades to turn the warehouse into retail space, and it looks AWESOME.... But the problem is that we need a handicap lift, so that all our customers have access to The Attic, and also to comply with ADA laws. Unfortunately, we wont be able to reopen without it. Please help us bring fabulous vintage clothing back to fabulous Las Vegas.
The reason for this campaign is to raise money so that we can purchase, and install a handicap lift at our new location. This is needed to comply with ADA laws, and also allow access to all who wish to visit The Attic. This certificate will allow us to open The Attic at its new home.
If we could raise the money for the ramp, it would help us achieve many wonderful things including....
- Make the property in compliance with ADA laws.
- Repurpose an old rundown warehouse into a beautiful storefront.
- With The Attic open for business it helps beautify the neighborhood by improving the general appearance of the area.
- The Attic will bring full-time positions to the area.
- Continue to bring culture, fashion, and art to our locals, and vintage loving locals, and tourists alike.
The $12,000.00 will be used as follows. $9,500.00 to purchase handicap ramp and pay delivery fees. The remaining $2,500.00 will be used to professionally install the lift.
In return for your most generous donation you will receive great perks at The Attic. We have perks set up for all sized donations, everything from high-five’s to private shopping experiences.
We are suppose to explain where funds will go if we don’t reach our goal, but We are very confident that we will! The Attic has many friends who would love to see us open again. I am sure that we will reach our goal and be able to reopen as quickly as possible. Whatever is collected from this campaign will be put towards the ramp. We will find another way to make up the difference some how. The show must go on!
If we are able to accomplish our goal, you would have a hand in helping a long time established business with a 20-year track record. Please Google us so you can see what we are about.... Also you will have a hand in helping us, as a family, in sustaining and securing our employment for years to come.
Other ways you can help....
I know this is a lot to ask... especially in times like these, and I completely understand if you are not able to help with funding. BUT you can definitely help by letting your friends and family know, have them make some noise about our campaign. Share this on any of your social media sites to help spread the word.
