We are The Planty Herbs. A duo from Utrecht, The Netherlands.
We make organic sounding electronic music that inhibits stress and appeals to your relax-chromosomes. From simple hip-hop beats to carefully sculpted aural landscapes, from house to the occasional liquid d'nb track, there is a wide variety of sounds that we love to make.
All our releases and beattapes are up for streaming on our BandCamp Page.
After a single and EP on Nightmares On Wax's imprint "WAX ON Records", we are on the verge of finishing our debut album.
We have nearly completed 18 tracks, a lot of which are collaborations with musician friends, the majority of which have been recorded in a dorm room with one household mic and cheapo external soundcard.
From a creative standpoint this has been great for us. But to make all of these different tracks, sounds and takes sound as a solid piece of work, we want to dive deeper into our sonic landscape in a renowned studio in the rural southern part of The Netherlands.
... And here's where you guys & gals come in:
since we want to (re-)record all of the tracks in a professional studio with all the people we collaborated with, get it mixed and mastered by a crafty engineer, reach out to a pressing plant to create some smelly plaques of vinyl (don't worry, if you don't own a turntable (WHICH YOU SHOULD, actually..) you can order digital files as well!) as well as taking care of artwork (which is a lot for a vinyl release),
..*gasps for air*...
you might be able to conclude that we need a budget to cover all of our expenses.
€6000 will take care of all of that, just so we have the creative space we need to blend all of this into a timeless piece of art and music and make it sound (and look) pretty darn good as well.
The reason we chose to go for a "fixed funding" is because if we will not reach our goal, we will not be able to deliver a finished product, and there won't be any money left to give our funders what they paid for. So no use for that.
Curious for previews? No problem!
And if you like and/or support our music in whatever way, firstly; THANK YOU. If you have nothing to contribute at this point you can still be more than helpful by sharing this page to your friends.
If you feel like reaching out to us, feel free (and feel good) to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with whatever it is that is on your mind.
