Myself, Daniel Maldonado and Producers, Ingrid Matias & Giselle Rodriguez welcome you to our feature film project H.O.M.E. We've been in development for some months now and are ready to start our fundraising campaign!! To make things easier for us in terms of execution, we've decided to set up our fundraising strategy into two phases. This being the first.

D, F & #1
The first story, "D, F & #1" , inspired by true events, tells the story of Danny, a young man with Asperger's Syndrome ( high functioning autism) who's disappears for 2 weeks while living in the New York City subways. The story we are telling documents his unique journey in the maze-like underground world
We are planning to shoot on location in the New York City subways at the end of July. Since we will be working with a small cast & crew and limited equiptment, we've been able to keep our budget relatively low. However, given the nature of this costly medium, we are seeking monetary support to assist us in covering general production expenses as well as post production costs. Our intentions after the film is completed is to have a premiere and a limited film festival exhibition run. We'd like to hold off from a full release since this will serve as one third of our full length project and want to preserve the film for the larger platform.
The Impact of "D, F & #1"
Asperger syndrome (AS) is a developmental disorder on the autism spectrum. An estimated two out of every 10,000 children have the disorder ( 1 child in every 110 are diagnosed with autism) Boys are three to four times more likely than girls to have AS. There is no single best treatment package for all children with AS, but most professionals agree that the earlier the intervention, the better. Diagnoses of autism are on the rise, fueled in part by a better understanding of symptoms by doctors and parents but in the Latino community, there is little information about how common autism is.
If we don't reach our fundraising goal we miss an excellent opportunity to raise awareness on a disorder that affects millions of children who are misdiagnosed every year and miss the chance of early detection to get the necessary treatment required for the chance to live a normal life with special needs.
What We Need & What You Get
We need to raise $18K to fund the entire production of the first vignette for our feature film H.O.M.E. We've got some great perks for our donors, such as a featured walk-on role, Associate Producer credit, invitations to festival premieres as well as collectible art work related to the film. We are also offering tax deductions on all PAY PAL donations through our fiscal sponsor, Art For Progress, a 501(c) 3 non profit organization. http://partners.guidestar.org/controller/search...
Please note that you do not have to have a Pay Pal account in order to donate but can do so as a "guest" with your credit or debit card.
