The Guerrilla Street Food Brick and Mortar
We are Brian Hardesty and Joel Crespo.
We own Guerrilla Street Food, St. Louis' first and only Filipino food truck. Over the last 2 years, we have been working hard to build and maintain a food truck that strives to provide our guests with the best possible experience they can have dining on the street. What you may not know is we have also been planning and working towards building a brick and mortar restaurant.
The demand for our food has been through the roof, especially since appearing on the Food Network show, "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." It also didn't hurt that our dish, "The Flying Pig", was named the best dish in St. Louis', over all other restaurants in the city! And now after being named #17 Best Food Truck in the country by Dailymeal.com, we feel that the time is right to push forward and put all of our chips in the middle. It's time for a home for Guerrilla Street Food.
Our Goal is $115,000
We realize that our goal is pretty lofty so, let us break it down for you.
100% of the funding will be going towards renovating and equipping an existing space in the city. We will be updating the exterior, purchasing ovens, sinks, cash registers, building custom equipment like a wood fired Lechon grill, a handmade immersion circulator, signage, etc.
When completed, we will immediately establish ourselves as the finest Filipino Restaurant in the city. You will be able to get your usual food truck favorites at one convenient location, as well as a new expanded menu of dishes what we have not previously been able to offer. Furthermore, the restaurant will also act as a hub for our food truck and more trucks to come in the future!
If we do not reach our goal, we will hold on to these funds and add to them, via applying for loans, private investors, etc. The plan will then be to reach that goal as soon as we possibly can and move forward with the space. We will also consider alternative locations that can accommodate our budget if need be.
Guerrilla Street Food has always been the little guy. Our truck was handmade by us and our close friends; getting our hands dirty and calling on the generosity of those that believe us. So, it feels natural to give crowd-source funding a try. Our fans have always been kind to us, as well as honest about what they want to see from us: quality, affordability, and just really good food. I believe we continue to make good on that. We put our own blood, sweat and tears into this business and so we operate out of a genuine desire to do our best for you all. And rest assured, we will continue to do so in our restaurant.
However, we need all of you to make this happen.
This much we know.
Let's take GSF to the next level.
If you can't donate, help us spread the word!
One of GSF's greatest strengths is our fanbase. With over 6,000 followers on Twitter and over 4000 on Facebook, it has been relatively easy to promote what we are up to. We plan on using this method for our campaign, and hope you will retweet, share, post, and talk about our endeavor to as many people as you can.
- Please spread the word as much as possible. It'll help us more than you know.
- There are share tools on IndieGoGo that should make it easy enough.
Whatever happens, thank you all for your continued support of Guerrilla Street Food. All this love, means the world to us. We want to keep moving this business forward, with your help.
