Ghostlight, which had it's premiere at NYMF 2011, is presenting an industry reading of the show on December 2nd, 2013 at The New 42nd Street Studios. We need your help to make this reading happen. The reading will feature some very exciting Broadway names to be announced at a later date. Ghostlight tells the true story of the life and death of infamous Ziegfeld Follies Girl Olive Thomas. The musical had its premiere in September 2011 at the Signature Theatre in New York City starring Tony award winner Daisy Eagan, Tony award nominee Michael Hayden and Drama Desk award winner Rachel York. We need your help to take this original work to the next level.
What We Need & What You Get
In order to present this reading, we will need around $8,000. This pays for studio rentals, rehearsal space, actors, musicians and other miscellaneous costs.
You get the chance to be an official backer of the reading. The largest donors will also have the opportunity to attend this exclusive non-public event.
If we do not get our full funding, we will use whatever money we receive toward as much of the above as humanly possible.
Have you ever wanted to be a part of something magical? Something intoxicating? Something grand? That's all we've ever wanted since we saw our first Broadway shows as children. After years of hard work and knocking on doors, we have an opportunity to achieve our wildest dreams. Only you can make that a reality. Won't you please be a part of our journey to Broadway?
