FIELDED, Benjy Russell, and Rya Kleinpeter are joining forces to bring you a new fable. A tale as old as the future....
I'm Benjy Russell, a photographer and artist currently based out of Tennessee. I'm partnering with my fellow artist Rya Kleinpeter and the very talented musician FIELDED to bring you a beautiful, haunting music video to accompany her single Chapel of Lies off of her new album Ninety Thirthy Thirty.
We're all very excited about the concept for the video! More than just visuals to accompany a song; I think we can use this medium as a platform to talk about some very complicated/timeless/relevant issues in a beautiful and surreal way. I'm hoping to use this video as an opening dialogue to discuss gender, age, love, life/death and what happens afterwards.
We're currently fundraising for production costs for a video that will be shot over a period of three days in the mountains of Middle Tennessee. Many, many people are donating their time and energies to help make this project come to life, but there are still some expenses that we need money for in order to make this production sing like a bird. The funds we're raising will go towards some sets that will require building, wardrobe and styling that are coming from some seriously next level designers, an editor to help us stitch everything together and to put the finishing touches on it, and some minor travel expenses. Even if you're unable to financially contribute, maybe you could help us spread the word to your friends and loved ones. I think you're going to want to see this force of nature we're going to give birth to.
Some of the most exciting art being made today is in the form of music videos. Unfortunately, due to the decline in general sales for indie musicians, there is less and less money available to help make this art happen. That's why we're looking to you for help. I believe that with your help we can make something important.
