                                       65 hours left! what??

thank you for the tremendous support! the gifts keep pouring in. please share this page with your network and help me reach my goal in these last moments! and thank you!

                              looking for buried treasure

i am thrilled to have been been accepted into the applied arts program at the fiber craft studio in chestnut ridge, new york; training begins this summer.

the hope is to gather tuition ($3,200), travel expenses($1,800 for me and my 9-year-old twins' round trip drive across the country), and approximately $400 in campaign fees for the first of 3 year's training, trusting that the universe will continue to provide in abundance for the following years.

in addition to the warm feeling in your heart you'll get an awesome thank you goody(handmade from recycled, found, and salvaged materials as always) for donating whatever you are able!

                                     once upon a time

i asked my children's handwork teacher to show me how to knit; she didn't simply go through the motions but rather began with a story about a young boy discovering a tuft of roving on a country fence. together we entered into a story, and for this reason the work lives in me in a profound and ancient way.

storytelling is the soul-work of calling the human family back into the process of creation; it cultivates imagination, creativity, and is the underpinning of every culture and human connection. the approach of waldorf education with its strong emphasis on art and archetypal storytelling as a foundation for creativity, literacy, and social empathy adds the sacred element i experience when entering into a handwork room.

spending the next three years in this program will deepen my artistic practice, prepare me to pass on the gift of waldorf education which has been a boon for my own family.

there will be weaving, plant-dyeing, philosophizing, and i will learn to make my marionettes move for real! i look forward to incorporating puppets and puppetry as vehicles for inspiration and education.

                                         you can help!

even if you can't contribute, you can get the word out and make some noise about this campaign, tell people about my work, and please don't forget to use indiegogo's share tools(just below the video) to the best advantage!

                                        thanks to you!
