This campaign is raising funds on behalf of Live Oak Park Coalition, a verified nonprofit. The campaign does not necessarily reflect the views of the nonprofit or have any formal association with it. We are a group of  Fallbrook dog owners who want an off-leash area for our pets to exercise and socialize.   Our local Live Oak Park has been identified as a perfect area for such a facility and we have the backing of the County Parks & Recreation Department and the Live Oak Park Coalition, the nonprofit group who oversees use of Live Oak Park.  Because we can utilize so may already-existing resources available at the park (parking, bathrooms, maintenance, picnic tables/benches, etc) we really just need to fence off the proposed area.  The County and the Park Coalition have asked us to raise funds for the fencing.  We've already begun local fund-raising efforts, with may private citizens contributing what they can, but we need to reach approximately $20,000 for the fencing, according to County guidelines.  The Park Coalition will match our funds up to $10,000, and we already have about $3500 from small donations by local citizens, so we're on our way and hope this platform will give us the push to our final goal!

This is a grass roots effort, started and promoted by every-day dog owners, all volunteers, who love their pets and see a great benefit in having a space for them to run free for some play and exercise time.  We began as a small dog-walking group and hatched the idea of founding Fallbrook's first-ever off leash area for our pets.  We are dedicated to seeing this process through all the local governmental rules and regulations, many of which have already been fulfilled, and providing the necessary funding, all through our own efforts.

Our off-leash dog area will serve our small, semi-rural town in North San Diego County, population about 50,000.  All donations of $50 or more get a year's free parking pass at Live Oak--if you're not close by that may not be of high value to you, but every dog owner can appreciate the importance of a place for dogs (and their owners) to socialize and exercise in a controlled, safe environment.  All contributions are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with receipts from the non-profit Live Oak Park Coalition.

We greatly appreciate any help you can give us with any size donation!
