How many students does it take to change a lightbulb?
But Energy Corps isn’t just changing one light bulb, we’re looking to change them all. So we’re searching our campus for opportunities to upgrade Cornell's facilities with the newest energy efficient technology.
Every year, students are given the opportunity to evaluate project payback, submit investment recommendations, and assist with implementation. What's more, Energy Corps has developed our members into the leaders of tomorrows by building upon valuable teamwork skills beyond the classroom walls.
We are on our way to saving $38,000 and eliminating 24.2 tons of carbon emissions (and that's only this year)!
With your amazing support, Energy Corps will be able to—
Provide energy audit training for our project ID and management teams
- Purchase power monitors and light meters to assess buildings around campus
- Further our research on t-bulbs and smart plugs
Begin funding our trip to the 2014 Verge conference in San Francisco
Our organization brings together talent and enthusiasm from all across campus in order to work towards a common interest furthering Cornell University's energy efficiency initiative and promoting environmental sustainability.
Any size donation is welcome and greatly appreciated. Your contributions will help sustain Energy Corps’ commitment to educating future energy & sustainability leaders and preserving the planet.
