We did it! Thanks everyone for your support and joining our movement in being a key to freedom!
who shares, promotes and backs this campaign is a Key To Freedom that can help end sex trafficking.
1. A movement by the people who have grown tired of hearing about the 27 million people enslaved in human trafficking and have decided to join together to raise awareness and funds for the organizations who are doing something about it.
2. Supported by influencers: 60 award winning authors, creatives, entrepreneurs have all contributed influence and articles to the cause.
3. Needed... if we ever hope to free the 27 million of enslaved people around the globe.
I started End Sex Trafficking Day last year after I watched the movie Nefarious. After viewing the film I was emotionally moved like many. But unlike most I thought to myself that this practice did not need to continue and I had no choice but to do something about it. I had very limited resources and was actually on food stamps at the time, I convinced a group of entrepreneurs and social influencers to contribute essays to a book to sell to raise money for charity. I raised $10k by myself so that the book could be published.
If I can raise $10k by myself to publish a book; imagine what can we all do by coming together and pooling our resources, our social networks, and the love we as people have for each other and for the freedom we so often take for granted.
We challenge YOU to be a Key to Freedom by at the very minimum SHARING this page.
To spread awareness, we've partnered with Exodus Cry, the makers of the Award winning documentary Nefarious. The movie Nefarious is what opened Erin's eyes to sex trafficking, they’ve showed their documentary to british parliament, congress and hundreds of cities around the world and now we will be able to put their awareness van on the road for 6 months to spread the message that so desperately needs to be heard.
To prevent sex trafficking, we’ve partnered with The Sold Project who will fund their prevention program The freedom Project in northern thailand and provides scholarships, mentorships and resources for their kids who wouldn’t otherwise be able to learn.
To help rescue victims of sex trafficking, we’ve partnered with Courtney’s House and they will fund their street outreach programs that do outreach from 2am-7am where they look for missing boys and girls on the street then provide long term counseling.
We’ve partnered with two non profits that are doing much needed work in the areas of recovering victims of sex trafficking.
New Friends New Life an organization that helps women recover from being trafficked will provide women with internships at local businesses and improve their job skills.
We’ve also partnered with the Not For Sale Campaign that will provide rehab care services for 5 survivors of trafficking in Romania for an entire year.
We need you. Millions of people around the world need you. People in your own backyard need you. We understand if you can’t give money but you can share this. I was on food stamps myself remember? You’re sharing raises awareness.
