I'm an anarchist, a writer, a believer in people
I'm not very adept at writing about myself. It feels heavily egotistical. My sense is that my work speaks more of who I am than any trumped up autobio. At present, I have one novel on the market. In short, my writing centers around the inherent beauty of struggle. Struggle's importance is often overlooked in a world filled with trivial and corrupted pursuits such as politics, law, and religion. Everyday, in so many mediums, we hear people lament the holes in their lives, the emptiness of their existence when the only true and constant thread is individual struggle. When one accepts the exquisite simplicity of it, the world becomes a different place. One realizes that winning means nothing and losing means even less. There are no winners or losers, only volunteers.
Many of my shorter works are posted here:
I am poised to write my next novel, an ambitious attempt to deliver a wider audience the full weight of my philosophy. It will be a road story, a story of discovery and revelation. I need help to make it real. So I've decided to request the assistance of people who still care about the art of storytelling and the power of words.
Choked with non-fiction and history, contemporary anarchist literature needs an injection of creative fiction and revelatory stories. Anarchist fiction has a long and illustrious history. Help me bring the drama, humor, and vitality back to a genre that hasn’t seen a Camus or Edward Abbey in quite some time.
Marketing and time are expensive
After self-publishing my novel That Night Filled Mountain, I realized the impact marketing has when scouting the correct audience for a book. I feel the need to explore this avenue to the fullest and, unfortunately, this requires money. More money than a starving writing can afford.
- If this campaign is successful, each contributor will receive not only a signed copy of the funded book but also a signed copy of an art book project also in the works. Anyone who contributes $200 or more will be listed in a specific acknowledgments section of the book.
- If the $5000 goal isn't met, I will provide each contributor with a digital copy of my previous book That Night Filled Mountain.
