What We Need & What You Get
In order to reach the Global Finals, We will be raising funds to cover the approximately $18,000 of expected expenses. The money raised would cover registration fees, air fare, ground transportation and lodging for the 6 team members, 2 team managers and 3 parent chaperones traveling with the team.
We estimate our expenses to be:
- Global Finals Registration: $7,535
- Transportation: $7,500
- Shipping (Props): $1,000
- Fundraising: $500
- Miscellaneous: $1,500
In order for us to raise these funds, we are looking for donations to invest in our success. As we look to possible investors, we are hoping that local and national friends, families and technology & innovation firms will help us reach our goal. Everyone is welcome to invest!!
With Destination Imagination being the largest creative thinking and problem solving competition in the world, we are looking for sponsors that live the core values of innovation and technology as we represent California at this global event. We are fortunate to be located at heart of the world's innovation and technology capital - Silicon Valley and the Bay Area; so we hope we will be able to reflect that in our support at Destination Imagination.
Tier 3 investors will be given the opportunity to display their company logo on our DI team shirts which we will wear at the global finals.
We're looking to make this as convenient for you as possible; so we are offering 3 tiers of perks:
1. Signed team postcard
2. Signed DVD of our DI Globals Finals 2014 performance
3. A presentation of our DI Global Finals 2014 performance followed by Q&A
Your investment will help provide us with the tremendous learning experience that is Destination Imagination; sharing the experience with teams from other states and countries, watching their approaches to innovation and problem solving and learning from their cultures and backgrounds.
We also hope that this process will help us get to know you, our investors, as we look to continue to make an impact in our communities by connecting with local business in and around the Bay Area.
