Until recently, Canada’s government took care of the Canadian veterans who defended our values of freedom and democracy.
But with Stephen Harper and the Conservatives in power, our heroes stand alone.
You see, the Conservatives turned their backs on our veterans.
The Harper Conservatives argued in court they have “no moral obligation to our veterans” who they sent into war zones.
The Conservatives spent $750,000 of taxpayers’ money to fight the legal rights of soldiers to get proper compensation for their injuries.
I’m sure you agree with us that our vets deserve dignity. They deserve respect. You already know that many vets came home injured. Wounded. And yet the Conservatives closed nine frontline offices that helped these brave men and women.
What we will do
We are running a national campaign to encourage voters to defeat the Conservatives.
We are organizing veteran volunteers and supporters in communities across Canada. We will use Facebook, our website and our large contact list to mobilize on the anti-Conservative vote on Election Day. And we will be in the media regularly – challenging the Conservatives.

In 2014 a group of veterans started a national organization. We call it: Anyone But Conservative (ABC) - Canadian Veterans Campaign 2015. Since last year many vets, family members and friends have joined us. We hope you will too.

“My name is Ron Clarke and I’m 75 years old. I served in the Canadian armed forces for 36 years. I retired with a back problem and later was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
“Before the Harper cuts, the Veterans Affairs Office was always there to support me with my physical and emotional needs. They saved my life when I didn’t know if I could carry on".
