Natal: The Story
NATAL is the newest short film from Bonfire Films, made as part of the 2013 Damnationland Horror Festival.
Carissa is a troubled girl. Recently discharged from the psychiatric hospital, she is struggling to assimilate back into society. When she joins her friends on a trip to a family lake house, she quickly begins to unravel as a strange scratching sound consumes her reality.
Meet the Director:
Director Corey Norman is no stranger to filmmaking. He has worked for clients such as: History Channel, Nova, National Geographic and Discovery. He was an assistant editor on Nova's Bioterror, done in conjunction with the New York Times, which won a Best News and Documentary Emmy Award. In 2011, he was honored as one of Maine Today Media's "Forty Under 40" for his work. Last year Corey directed and edited Last Chance to Reason's "Upload Complete" music video for Prosthetic Records, which has just shy of 93,000 YouTube plays. Last month he directed a follow up video for "The Escapist" which already has 30,000 views. His previous film, "The Barn" was accepted into nine national horror festivals including The Fright Night Film Festival and The Indie Horror Film Festival. Corey is currently in postproduction on his first feature film, THE HANOVER HOUSE which features the return to horror for Anne Bobby (Clive Barker's Nightbreed, Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July)

We are looking to raise a minimum of $600 to aid us in purchasing the following items to help with the production of the film. Any funds above this amount will allow us to put gas into the cars of our cast and crew.
