Enhanced Safety & Security
Quickly and confidently secure your home using Reemo. Instead of walking to a keypad, fumbling for light switches, or opening an app, with Reemo you simply point and control. You can turn on interior or exterior lights, lock doors, or arm the security system, all in moments, from a distance.
How secure is Reemo? Reemo devices will not respond to commands from wristbands that have not been authorized by the primary user to control them. Furthermore, the Reemo system will also log and report unauthorized control or access attempts. The way devices are provisioned onto a Reemo system during setup or expansion of a system requires a simple yet secure proprietary two-factor authentication providing a level of security that exceed the standards for existing home automation systems while being simpler and more intuitive. The only way to highjack someone’s Reemo system will be to steal their Reemo wristband. Even in that scenario, the missing/stole wristband can be stripped of all its permissions or completely removed from the system from our web / mobile app in under 30 seconds.
Reemo frees caregivers and seniors from the frustration of solving everyday technical problems. Reemo becomes a natural part of everyday life and enhances your ability to control your environment. Since Reemo uses intuitive gestures and natural movements, it is simple to use and the commands are easy to remember. This increases independence and confidence when interacting with the growing amount of devices in our homes.

Working Prototype Demo
We demoed a working prototype of Reemo at the Solid Conference May 2014. Will also be showing live demonstrations of Reemo at Tech Crunch Disrupt SF in Startup Alley on Sept 8-10, 2014 and at CEDIA Expo Sept 11-13, 2014. Please stop and say "Hi", we'd love to demonstrate Reemo for you!
Easy to Setup
Compatibility with OpenHome Devices
We’re proud to be working with OpenHome Labs to make Reemo an OpenHome Certified Device. Once certified Reemo will also work seamlessly with all other OpenHome devices, so managing all connected devices will be as easy as point and control! Imagine controlling the lights, appliances, and electronics in your house without needing to open an app or finding the remote to control them.
Compatibility with other Home Automation Systems
Even though Reemo works great by itself, we also designed it to work with leading smart home systems and connected devices. We focused on compatibility with OpenHome Labs to begin with, since they have the largest number of devices in use, but we're not stopping there. We are also working with other home automation platforms to make Reemo compatible with their devices as well. We will announce those developments as soon as they are finalized.
We've come a long way
We are currently participating in the Microsoft Ventures Seattle Accelerator in Partnership with American Family Insurance (link). This is accelerating our development timeline and we expect to have a springboard effect thanks to the world class help we are receiving from both Microsoft Ventures and American Family Insurance. Our partner, OpenHome Labs are featuring us in their new IndieGoGo partners channel. We appreciate all the help and support from these great partners!
Timeline to Delivery
Creating Reemo has truly been a collaborative effort. In typical technology startup fashion, we have worked on Reemo in garages, coffee shops, homes and now our offices. Our greatest resource has been our team of smart, fun-loving, hard working, energetic engineers, designers, project managers, relationship builders, financiers, creatives and marketers.
Playtabase has 13 patents pending on the design of our wearable device and the solutions' gesture interaction in a connected environment.
