Summary
James Whitworth tragically died after being struck by a van whilst crossing a road on 1st August 2015. He was an extremely talented musician and songwriter. Here is an example of his previous work.
Before he died, he was working on completing his second album. He made arrangements to rent a studio space to undertake this task, and we would like to continue his plan. His musical equipment will be moved into the studio space, with an aim to complete his album and release it to the world.
The Whitworf Trust need your help! If you are a musician, have sound engineering skills, or just want to help, please feel free to get in contact. We would love for you to join us while we bring to life his wonderful ideas.
We need a minimum of £1000 to put towards studio rent and running costs over the next six months. The more we raise, the more studio time we will have. Please donate! As thanks, your name will be credited in any release notes. Depending on further funding, we hope this will lead to a double vinyl release with an elaborate inlay.
This campaign is to get the studio up and running, however our long-term aim is to sustain the studio by running music production workshops for students. This is something James would have loved.
Financially, this endeavour is a long way off, and will require much voluntary assistance. If you are a musician, have sound engineering skills, or just want to help, please join the Whitworf Trust Facebook group, or get in touch by emailing whitworftrust@bitbasic.co.uk. We would love for you to join us while we bring to life his wonderful ideas.
