Clothing For Foster Children
My name is Nathan Smith and I am the Director of Administrative Operations for Pathway Family Services, Inc. Pathway is a non-profit 501c3 company licensed with the state of California to provide therapeutic foster homes for neglected, abused, and abandoned children.
I am setting up this campaign to help us clothe the children that come into our program. Imagine you are 5 years old and you and your siblings have been placed with a family you don't know with only the clothing you are wearing. Our foster parents do their best to provide these children with clothing but as you can imagine it would be hard to provide a complete wardrobe for 3 or 4 children all at once if you are on a fixed income.
We Need Money for New Clothing
Pathway serves between 100-200 children per year. We want to be able to provide each child that comes into our program with new clothing for them to own and wear.
When you invest a donation in this clothing program you get the satisfaction in knowing you helped clothe needy children. You gave them a warm jacket, pants, shorts, shoes, shirts, etc.
We will not be able to produce pictures of the children in our care because of the confidential nature of what we do and due to the laws that restrict that information. However, if you can provide us a mailing address we will have the child who received your gift, send you a personal thank you note.
The impact of your gift is worth more than the amount of money given.
You are helping children in a very tangible way. You are clothing their bodies. How does it make you feel when you have new clothing to wear? Clothing gives you more confidence and self-worth.
Pathway in no way profits from any of the money donated. All funds will go directly to buying clothes. Pathway's day to day operations are funded and will not take any money for operations from these funds.
Other Ways You Can Help
We understand that not everyone will be able to contribute. But you can help us get the word out about our campaign. Tell friends, family, co workers, churches, clubs, etc. about what we would like to accomplish. Your help will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference for neglected children.
Thank you so much!
