Short Summary

As the video pointed out, I used to have a part time retail job. It wasn't the most stimulating work, nor was it all that interesting, but it was easy and it paid me enough to scrape by while I pursued my dream of writing about 60 hours out of every week.

At the beginning of March, my employment ended quite suddenly and not on the best of terms.

I have been unemployed (save for my books, which don't yet generate enough for me to live off of) since then. I've plastered my resume on craigslist and other job sites, I've filled out application after application, but I can't help but wonder what it must be like for those writers who've got the luxury of staying home and doing their craft without worrying about their next meal, their next gas fill up or their rent?

I've got severe Depression and am closely monitored by my doctor for it. This also makes it difficult for me to find and keep a brick and mortar job.

$1500 will keep me afloat until I've got my next three books finished. My next three books will be the second, third, and fourth books in the Cedarcrest Series. I'm already about a quarter of the way through Corporeal, the second book of the series.

Cedarcrest is a young adult urban fantasy series based around a fictional town called Cedarcrest that's located between the Twin Cities and Duluth in Minnesota. The town has a colorful past and the happenings there have a tendency to verge on the outrageous.

It can aptly be described as a cross between Fear Street, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Saw.
