Who Are We?

Founded in 1936, Quinebarge is a coed, traditional camp located on 65 acres of forest and 1,250 feet of pristine Lake Kanasatka in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, owned by non-profit environmental organization Carbonfund.org Foundation. We offer a variety of activities for 100 great kids aged 7-15.

Quinebarge encourages campers to challenge themselves and to try new activities in a safe and supportive setting with staff helping each child grow, learn, and achieve their goals. We foster a spirit of community, cooperation and respect for nature embedded into our rich tradition of camp life that includes outdoor activities, campfires, songs and skits, and cabin living. Campers develop memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Where Do the Funds Go?

Each summer, in addition to giving financial assistance to lower-income families, we host a number of underprivileged youth from the inner city. Many of these children have never experienced the outdoors the way they can at camp. These campers are able to challenge themselves and experience new things, while adding diversity to our camp community.

As a non-profit, our goal is to cover our costs while providing an amazing camp experience. Just $350 can send a child to Quinebarge for one week. Our aim is to raise at least $7,500 to fund our scholarships, all of which will go towards sending up to 10 children to camp. And because we are a 501(c)3 non-profit, your donation is tax deductible.

Why Is This Important?

Spending a summer at Quinebarge can have a huge impact on the lives of all our campers, but especially those who attend on scholarship. Campers grow and develop skills and friendships that last a lifetime. Our program:

  • Builds confidence
  • Promotes understanding of and respect for the natural world
  • Once-in-a-lifetime opportunities
  • Gives kids a chance to be kids
  • Health benefits of being in an active natural environment

How Else Can I Help?

Even if you can't make a monetary donation, any help you can give makes a difference in the lives of our campers. Please spread the word or refer a camper, so we can continue this wonderful program!
