Thousands of refugees have been fleeing to Hungary every day since the beginning of August. As young Hungarian civilians, we want to help them.
Most of them want to travel to Austria or Germany; but since Hungary is the first country in the Schengen zone on their route, they need to be registered. Our government however does not have the capacity nor the willingness to help. Thousands of tired and desperate refugees are stranded at the main train stations in Budapest; most of the times without food or medical care.
We want to raise money to help with
food and drink, shoes and clothing, sleeping bags,
medical care,
legal advice
...and anything else they might need.
We’ll support the NGO-s who are already doing their best to help the refugees: Migration Aid, Magyar Helsinki Bizottság, Menedék.hu Cordelia Alapítvány, and MigSzol.
We’ve created the BudAid Facebook Page, where we’ll post our own content and write the reality of being a refugee. We’ll explore their history, motivations, and dreams. We believe that we can slowly shape and change the public opinions about the refugees and the migration. Our exemplar and partner site is The Worldwide Tribe in Calais, where people can see the power of the honest and empathetic journalism.

Kik vagyunk, mi a célunk?
Civilek vagyunk, akik megelégelték, hogy csak híreket olvasva szörnyülködjenek az országba érkező menekültek drámai helyzetén. Hiszünk abban, hogy emberhez méltó körülményeket kell és lehet teremteni.
Továbbá hiszünk abban, hogy a menekültek történetét, valós motivációit, útjuk viszontagságait a magyar és külföldi közönségnek bemutatva pozitív irányba tudjuk befolyásolni a róluk szóló diskurzust. Ezért hoztuk létre a BudAid nevű oldalt, ahol hamarosan menekültekről szóló, saját készítésű tartalmainkkal jelentkezünk.
Pénzt gyűjtünk, hogy segíteni tudjunk
- ruhával, cipővel, takaróval, hálózsákkal, sátorral és bármivel, ami szükséges
- gyógyszerekkel
- jogi tanácsadással
A pénzből továbbá támogatnánk az önkéntes szervezeteket, akik már most is segítik a menkülteket. (Migration Aid, Magyar Helsinki Bizottság, Menedék.hu, Cordelia Alapítvány, MigSzol)
Szeretnénk támogatni olyan intézményeket is, amelyek az országban hosszabb távon tartózkodó menekültek integrációját segítik.
