Crashdiet are a bare knuckles rock band that has never pulled any punches and we’re not gonna start now. For those that may not know, and for those that do,once again tragedy has reared its ugly head and left a permanent stain on us all. In the middle of the biggest tour of our career our beloved manager Michael John Sunden left this mortal coil in a freak accident. The pain and heartache can’t be described in words or song.
In his passing we take comfort that he died doing what he loved most in this world and that’s bringing rock n roll to the masses. His memory is important to us and deciding to continue with the tour was a very tough decision that had to be taken in the heat of the moment.
This situation still brings us sleepless nights wondering how we will survive this. Without a doubt Michael would’ve told us to keep going and that’s just what we plan to do. However, the cold harsh reality is that Michael worked alone and our finances (this tour in particular) are in a virtual purgatory that could take years to sort out.
Crashdiet aren’t the kinda band to just lay down and die when any tragedy comes our way and if you know our history we’ve had our fair share. Usually, we can take these setbacks on our own and keep the show on the road as they say. This time, no matter how tough we think we are, we can’t do it alone.
We need you, our dedicated fans and those who just love rock and roll like we do to help finish this tour…its sad but true. So many have given so much that letting them down would be another setback we don't think we could survive.
So if you’re a Crashdiet fan here’s your chance to support your favorite band and snag some one of a kind items what will never ever be available again. Even if you don’t live near anywhere we are playing, even if you can’t see us on this tour…even if you don’t like us…you’ll be giving a fan a chance to rock out like you did when you listened to us or saw us play.
Plain and simple - we have borrowed money from every pocket we could possibly think of to be able to hit the road again on May the 8th - debts that will take us years to pay off. And just for those that think we’re trying to make it easier for ourselves we’ve scaled down EVERYTHING to its bare minimum. It’s gonna be dirty and messy just like its suppose to be. Glam rocked to its ugly core. Anything to bring the music to the people just like Michael did.
Again we can't do this alone so tell your friends and anyone who has that inner rockstar just dying to come out.
