Short SummaryJohn and Diana were expecting twins on October 19, 2012. In the second week of July they took a vacation down to North Carolina to visit family. Shortly into the stay, Diana's water broke. She had to get an emergency c-section by doctors she'd never met and in a hospital that was unfamiliar to her. On July 14, 2012, Isabella Grace was born at 1 pound 14 ounces and Mason John at 2 pounds and 1.8 ounces. Since the hospital didn't have a NICU, Isabella and Mason had to be brought to another hospital 60 miles away from Diana. Since the babies weren't fully developed by that time, they were both put on a respirator, amongst other equipment to assist their growth and development outside of their mother's womb. John and Diana were eventually able to get a room at the Ronald McDonald House, where they have been staying since. They have been at their babies' sides, day in and day out, wondering if the next minute will bring an advancement or a setback. John and Diana would love to be able to bring their babies home, where they could be under close watch at the Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, NY, and be closer to family, friends, their jobs and their home.
What We NeedAlthough they would never ask, this fund is to support John, Diana and their two blessings in getting home, which is $14,000 alone because of the massive amount of equipment and staff needed to support them in their condition during the journey, and to assist with other finances that this critical situation has brought upon them.
