The fetish fiend she can't quit. The parents who still treat her like a kid. Her over-protective brother. And a manic depressive friend from the psych ward. Why did they all have to show up on the same day?
WELCOME TO BRATTLEBORO!
a play by Lindsay B. Davis
directed by Isaac Scranton
WHERE IS BRATTLEBORO PLAYING? We are in the 2013 Midtown International Theater Festival! See us FRIDAY, July 26 at 6PM SATURDAY, July 27 at 4:30PM and SUNDAY July 28 at 7PM. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased on midtownfestival.org.
WHAT IS BRATTLEBORO ABOUT? LORI, an aspiring writer living in NYC, is in an on-again-off-again relationship with JAMES, an investment banker. As LORI continues to see JAMES and attempts to hide the relationship from her protective, older brother VINCE and loving but intrusive parents, MR. and MRS. FRIEDMAN, all grow increasingly concerned by changes in her personality. Meanwhile, LORI has started blogging about her personal life and continues to be haunted by the memory of COREY, a manic depressive friend she met during her college years.
WHY ARE WE CROWD SOURCING? There are significant costs for producing a show like BRATTLEBORO that include renting rehearsal space, buying props, costumes, set pieces, transporting said props/sets/costumes to and from the theater, printing scripts and programs, marketing and promoting BRATTLEBORO by way of printing post cards and compensating the entire cast and creative production team.
WHO IS ON OUR TEAM? Under the direction of the brilliant Isaac Scranton, TEAM BRATTLEBORO includes:
MR. FRIEDMAN: J. Dollan Byrnes
LORI: Lindsay B. Davis
VINCE: Vincent Ford
COREY: Christina Toth
MRS. FRIEDMAN: Sue Wallack*
JAMES: Patrick Michael Wickham*
