I just wanted to update this to say that we would really like to donate half of what we raise for Bella to the Dane County Humane Society, our local HS. http://www.giveshelter.org/how-to-help.html
So not only would you be helping a very special dog, you’d be helping a wonderful charity as well.
We want to contribute to charities and societies that will help out people like us who have vet bills that they can't afford to pay.
Bella is an 8 year old Schipperke diagnosed with nasal chondrosarcoma and to get the best treatment possible for her we need $5,000 for radiation.
We want her to live out the happiest, healthiest rest of her life as we can possibly give her, and I know there are at least 5,000 generous dog lovers on this site with a dollar to spare. So please consider donating, or just spreading the word!
This was our very first dog, and we got her when I was fifteen years old. My younger sister is 16, so this dog has been around for half of her life.
Schipperkes normally live on average to be around 15-16 years old. This means she is only halfway through her typical lifespan.
A world without our Bella would be much less fun, silly, and of course, a pain in the but. But we would never want to live without that part.
Any amount of money would meant the absolute WORLD to us. And even if you can't find any extra pocket money (and I completely understand, with this awful economy, everyone is in a rough spot) it would be equally as helpful if you could spread the word.
I unfortunately can't provide any perks at this time, because I do not know what I would have around that would be of value to anyone. I apologize for this, but I hope you understand. If anyone expresses interest in art, I do draw and I could provide artwork - (digital, watercolor, mixed media) if this would be an incentive.
I also really would like to go back to school but since we can't even afford to help with Bella's treatment this will be a very difficult thing. I also had a bad 3+ months where I was out of work and in the hospital, which cost us a lot of money.
