At Firehorse we produce innovative drama for young people. We are very passionate about educating through entertainment.
Film gives us a unique opportunity to peek into people’s lives and within 'B is for Bully' we explore the impact and implications of cyber-bullying. The film will give an exclusive insight into the world of the bully, the bullied and the bystander.
Professional actors will work alongside school pupils.
As a DVD, this film will be available in all regions.
We want this film to be a force for good, going beyond entertainment – it could save a life.
We are asking you to Stand with Us be an upstander and help delete cyber bullying.
Money and enthusiasm are crucial to make a film and both can involve you.
We are looking to initially raise £15,000.
That will cover
This is a small budget for such an ambitious film, but we are able to achieve this as of professionals and friends who committed to this project for free or vastly reduced professional fees. Also as founder of Firehorse I do not take any fee for the film work.
For every DVD sale and download we will make a donation to the fantastic Anti-Bullying charity, The Anti-Bullying Alliance. The A.B.A. coordinate National Anti-Bullying Week & Firehorse is a core member of the alliance.
If we exceed our goal we will increase our donation to the ABA and as a not for profit project, sales will be put towards our third film project.
The DVD will be available September 2018 but digital download is one of our exciting perks.
As well as digital downloads, we will show appreciation for support with T shirts, signed Posters, copies of the DVD and invites to the premiere.
Please help us to help others.
It would be great to have a magic wand and eliminate bullying, sadly that’s not possible but Firehorse works tirelessly to raise awareness and change attitudes.
You can also make a real difference, support this project and help create a powerful and much needed film.
We have a proven track record, in 2016 we produced a film ‘My Life as A Bully’, a film that challenged the idea that bullying should be tolerated and accepted as ‘just a part of growing up'. With an introduction by the UK Victims’ Commissioner, Baroness Newlove, the film encouraged young people to recognise, prevent and take action against bullying. With its message of ‘what’s so good about making others feel bad?' This ground breaking project was screened in The Houses of Parliament in July 2017
The film has received critical acclaim.
‘My Life As A Bully is an important film and a well-made one at that. A clever mix of drama and a moving piece on bullying in schools’. Film Critic Jafal Iqbal
‘The film delivers a powerful and thought provoking anti-bullying message and it left my parliamentary colleagues moved and inspired’ Stephen Kinnock M.P.
Young people spend 11,000 hours of their lives in education. So, school should be safe and free from bullying. With cases of young people committing suicide as a consequence of cyber bullying, increasing, we need to take action.
Every pledge will help us in our mission to erase cyber-bullying from the lives of young people. By supporting this film you will have a direct role in making this happen.
If there is one thing we know how to do well, it’s make a powerful film, but it can be challenging and the task of making a film can’t be understated.
It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of money. But we have experience on our side.
We have a wonderful school on board, as the location school and its pupils are chomping at the bit to be involved and get the message to their peers, in the UK and beyond.
We commit to you that we will stay in touch and be honest with the progress, challenges and needs. With your support we will create a product that’s truly unique and you can say that you were on board at the start.
As our last film was screened in Parliament – who knows where B is for Bully will end up !
