He was carrying something
The Crying Man appeared when the sun began to set.
At first, when he was still far, it looked like wet clothes, salvaged from a ship-wreck.
The waves washed him ashore, and when he was close enough to stand and start walking, the thing he carried looked like a huge fish, its scales red in the sunlight, turning everything around them into ground meat.
But then again, looking more closely, it couldn’t have been a fish- who could catch a monster like that without a boat, or a fishing-rod?
Avram stood and waited, watching with care.
Andromeda sleeps is a graphic novel about the lives of 3 wrecked men, each dealing with his own emotional trauma, and the ways their lives change when a sleeping child comes out of the sea.
It's a story about survival, recovery and reconciliation, taking place in a timeless urban surroundings.
During the last couple of years I have illustrated and published several books, some written by me and some by others, for indie publication and for big publication houses in Israel. I take big proud in each and every one of these books. But for me, none of them is anything like "Andromeda sleeps".
"Andromeda sleeps" started as my final project in "Minshar for art" college and was then improved & finalised, self-published & distributed in Israel. It is based on a short story by the good friend and great writer Shachar Galek, whom has been my duo in artistic projects for the last 9 years.
This project's goal was set based solely on the translation and production's costs. I'm well aware of how high it is, but sadly - printing a 172 pages book costs a lot, and the projects' goal amount should be just enough to do that.
For me, spreading the book across seas will be a dream come true. It's about sharing my most primary and intimate works with the world, giving them independence and reaching new audiences that might feel connection and get inspired by what i've created.

The book will be a hard cover ~180 full colored lacquered pages.
The project's funding will cover translation fee and printing costs.
Since the original (Hebrew) version has already covered the time invested on planning, sketching, drawing, sawing, painting, cutting, pasting and computer-processing, the only thing left is to translate and assimilate the translated text into the spreads.
That also means that the book should be shipped very soon after the project's funding phase ends.
