Addam was rescued from death row at the shelter, after being thrown down some stairs, causing a badly broken leg.

Addam is a 4 1/2 month old puppy who ended up in a shelter through no fault of his own, after having been thrown down a flight of stairs. He was scheduled to be euthanized because he needed expensive surgery to repair the leg and the shelter was already overcrowded. When we heard about Addam instantly and without hesitation took him in.

The very same day Addam arrived to us, in Hillsboro, Oregon, we took him straight away to the Veternarian, who told us the extent of the damage and prognosis. Addams leg was so badly broken and had been left for so long that he needed immediate surgery to try to repair the bones and attempt to save the leg.

At a subsequent check up it was discovered that the first surgery was not succesful and Addam had to have the leg amputated.

At the time we originally posted this request we only had the cost of one surgery. Now we have a second with an additional cost of $1600. If you can help with any amount please donate. Thank you!

Addam is doing very well, he is already getting used to walking around with three legs, he is very eager to play, but is on strick bed rest for two weeks, with very short breaks outside. We will update pictures in the next day or two.

Life4Paws is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 2000. With branches in Winnetka, CA and Hillsboro, OR. Life4Paws and Life4Paws Oregon are dedicated to the rescue of animals. Providing a NO KILL option for dogs who have reached their last days at a shelter, either due to overcrowding or illness. We rescue the ones we can, tend to their medical needs, provide vaccinations, spay or neuter, food, and all love they can handle until their new forever home is found.

As a non-profit animal rescue we rely solely on donations to cover our day to day expenses to care for the animals we save. When we have an emergency, like Addam, it is more then our budget can bear. We need your help in raising the money to cover the cost of Addam surgeries and rehabilitation.

We are seeking $2800 to cover the cost of the surgery, and future care of Addam. (this amount increase after we posted this request total is now much higher)

All funds collected through Indiegogo for this campaign will go directly to Addam's veternary care.

If you cannot donate, we are always looking for volunteer foster families to love a dog or two while they look for their new forever home. If you would like to foster and live in the Hillsboro, Oregon area, please contact us through our website.
