A Method is a powerful, disturbing story of how far some people will go to achieve their ambitions, no matter how much they manipulate and harm others. In an era when more and more outrageous behavior can create artificial celebrity in social media and on reality TV, Von Stoetzel uses his experience in all of these areas to tell this cautionary tale with stark, unflinching honesty.
A Method is directed by Paul von Stoetzel of Killing Joke Films. He has directed and/or adapted numerous award winning plays and films in the Twin Cities including his feature documentaries, SNUFF: a Documentary about Killing on Camera, and Scrap, which both gained major North American distribution. He has produced and/or directed over 20 short films and music videos in or around the Twin Cities area with film festival releases around the country.
What We Need & What You Get
Principle photography is finished, and A Method is now in the post-production phase. The last crowdfunding campaign that Killing Joke Films did raised $6,500 for a documentary on sand fracking called The Price of Sand:
Our goal for A Method is $8,000. That $8,000 will pay for post-production costs to finish the fim and submit to film festivals.
This is a labor of love, with all of the film’s cast and crew personally involved in its success. We're thrilled to have Kill the Vultures contributing to the soundtrack of the fim - in fact, a download of their music is one of the perks you can get. We also have some rare copies of SNUFF on DVD and the chance for you to get a private theater screening of von Stoetzel's Lovecraft cult favorite, The Curse of Yig.
