My name is Kevin Kendrick, and I am the frontman for A Big Yes and a small no. We are trying to raise at LEAST $6,000 to make and promote our first full length record since 2008. That full length was the "14th Most-Added to college radio playlists for July, 2008" according to CMJ (The College Music Journal), and made the in-house Top 25 charts at quite a few stations including the amazing KVRX at The University of Texas, Austin. I am really excited about the new material, and feel very confident that if I meet or exceed my fundraising goal, this record will be even better than the first.
Here's how I will spend the money once it is raised:
$900-Tracking basics (drums, bass, vibraphone and maybe horns. All guitar, vocals, and keys will be done at my place and Jonathan Goldberger's studio Down Home Labs
$1200-3 Days mixing most likely at Don Piper's studio Between the Tracks in D.U.M.B.O.
$800-Mastering (probably by Fred Kevorkian at Avatar)
$1600-4 Months of press
Thank you so much for your interest in my campaign. Whether you decide to donate or not, I really appreciate you taking the time to read up on my campaign. Thanks so much!
