We are Josie Campbell and Erial Tompkins, two filmmakers with one dream: to bring you “12 In 2012,” a short film about a boy, his high school, and his Doomsday Device.
ABOUT THE FILM
“12 In 2012” is a sci-fi/mockumentary style short film about a teenage mad scientist who, humiliated by his defeat at his high school’s science fair last year, vows to win this year...AT ANY COST!
“12 In 2012” is the pilot episode for a larger sci-fi webseries we are aiming to shoot next year. So not only will your donations help support a super fun short film, you’re also creating the first episode of an epic, twelve-part science-fiction comedy series!
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
We’re sci-fi geeks who love comedy and absolutely love this story. We’ve both worked before creating web series for Warner Brothers and are firm believers in the Internet as a platform for short films and indie media. Doing “12 In 2012” pilot allows us to bring the antics of a high school mad scientist to a vast online audience -- and with your help we can bring this vision to life!
HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS
So where does your money go? Well, for starters:
*Practical and special effects
*Paying for locations and set construction
*Costumes and makeup
*Lighting and grip equipment
*DVD and Digital Download creation
*And Cast and crew expenses!
Indiegogo takes about percentage of what we raise so every little bit helps, even just $5. For each level of donation we also have some amazing gifts, ranging from physical copies of the short film to Executive Producer credit and the chance to name the high school!
THE FINAL COMPONENT: YOU!
We have the script, we have the people, we have the dream -- all we need is you! Thank you for taking a look and donating what you can to make the pilot episode of “12 In 2012” a reality!
