Jim Byrkit was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona and worked his way through a series of creative adventures to make the acclaimed mind-bending film COHERENCE. A longtime collaborator of Gore Verbinski, Byrkit contributed storyboards and conceptual design for MOUSE HUNT, THE RING, and the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy while directing short films, commercials and music videos. RANGO (written by Byrkit, Verbinski and John Logan) won an Oscar for Best Animated Film.
