What inspired me to launch a film festival!

Since I was a young, I've thought strength & physical power in women was incredibly beautiful. When I fell in love with film, I saw that that type of feminine beauty was rarely spotlighted. I've long wanted a place for that in filmed entertainment. As actress, casting has been quite difficult to find roles that both appealed to me and conveyed the images of women I wanted presented in the world. We are now seeing that shift, and it's time to spotlight women who kick ass.
