I'm an independent journalist. In 2006 I founded "Fortress Europe", the observatory of the victims at the EU's borders (http://fortresseurope.blogspot.com). Since 2011, I have been covering Arab Springs and the war in Libya and in Syria, reporting for Time, Al Monitor, Vocativ, Taz, Internazionale, Rai, Rsi, Radio 3. I have published three books (so far available in Italian, German and Spanish): "Mamadou va a morire" (2007), “Roma senza fissa dimora” (2009, ) and "Il mare di mezzo" (2010).
