As a professional futebol player, I went to Brazil 9 years ago to play for Santos Futebol Clube. My teammates and I shared stories about our experiences as female players– we all faced obstacles and confronted prejudice around the women's game, but in different forms. In 2010 we started the GUERREIRASPROJECT as a group of female athletes, artists, academics and activists committed to gender justice using our stories from the game as our tool for social change.
