<p> </p> <p>Originally from New York, Mrs. Essner attended Bard College for Dance Composition and received her BA in Art & Social Change at New College in San Francisco with additional graduate studies in Dance/Performance at Mills College. Mrs. Essner was an artist-in- residence at ODC Theater (San Francisco) and has been commissioned by San Jose State University and San Francisco State University. Mrs. Essner is a recipient of the Bessie Schonberg Choreographers & Dancers Residency at The Yard, her company was commissioned by Alaska Dance Theatre and her work has been selected for Dance Theater Workshop’s Freshtracks.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p>
