Lawrence Welk turned me on to music and conducting and I have not strayed from the path yet. From piano lessons, to a French horn that was almost bigger than me in the fifth grade, I now have a bachelors, masters and doctorate in music. My dad insisted I also be properly educated, so I have a BA in English, as well. It helps. I love the outdoors for backpacking, biking, and just being out with my husband, two dogs and our new baby. I sing to him, of course. It builds neural pathways.
