Singing activist boosting spiritual environmental activism
<p><strong><a href="http://nl.linkedin.com/pub/chihiro-geuzebroek/21/7ba/3">Chihiro Geuzebroek</a> </strong>was educated in film but learned mostly by doing.</p> <p>She attended the NFTA Dutch filmacademy where she completed a course in production (2002-2003). Afterwards she completed her bachelor Media & Culture at the University of Amsterdam.She wrote her thesis on media& ecocide; combining her interest in environmental problems with analysis of how this topic is portrayed in media discourse.</p> <p>During this time she worked as an editor for the Buddhist Broadcast <a href="http://radicalfriends.com/crew/www.bodhitv.nl">website</a> and directed her first student production ‘Prettige vlucht’; A short documentary set in city life. The story follows how 3 men deal or try to escape from dealing with environmental problems they witness. This production was shown at Kriterion theater and awarded by a jury with 1st prize of the production year 2008.</p> <p>In 2009 she made an item in Copenhagen reporting on citizen action for environmental friendly policies. Besides the items & shorts she made, she worked for the NPO (Dutch Public Broadcast) as projectleader innovation and new media.
