<p>O&rsquo;Nell is a doula, artist, and creator of the <a href="http://www.beautifulcervix.com">Beautiful Cervix Project</a>. She has been inspired by her practice of charting her own menstrual cycles, doing cervical exams in groups during her training as a&nbsp;Shodhini woman researcher with the <a href="http://shodhini.blogspot.com/">Shodhini Institute</a> and by studying Fertility Awareness with&nbsp;<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://www.graceofthemoon.com/">Grace of the Moon.</a></span></p> <p>In solidarity with our feminist foremothers and many contemporary self-helpers, the Beautiful Cervix Project teaches cervical self-exam and fertility awareness as a revolutionary path of promoting respect, confidence, and health. &nbsp;O&rsquo;Nell believes that this form of self-empowerment and education will help contradict shame and misinformation around women&rsquo;s reproductive health and choices, affecting positive change from the personal to global levels.</p>
