The Punta Negra Village Council is comprised of 7 members of the community duly elected for a 3 year term under the Village Council Act of Belize. The current Village Council was elected in June of 2013 and will serve until 2016. This picture shows 4 of the 7 of us at the June 2013 election in front of the small house we have been using as a school for the last year since the old school is simply no longer safe for our students.
