Mr. Broomes brings with him experience that began with an internship at Big Dog Films with renowned music video director, Hype Williams, followed by a film making course as the School of Visual Arts in New York. He then went on to script, produce and direct several short films, the most popular of which Alone was featured on the BETJ Best shorts showcase; a few independent music videos; an independent television series “Everybody’s doing it” aired on Brooklyn Community Access Television, was awarded the 2005 Gold Remy Award for Best TV Series - Dramatic, at the WorldFest International Film Festival in Houston, TX, where he was also a top ten finalist in the screenwriting competition for his feature length screenplay “Black Roses”; And most recently, his first feature length film, Pro-Black Sheep which has had a very successful run on the film festival circuit over the last year, winning Best film on matters relating to the Black Experience/Marginalized People at the 2010 Black International Cinema Film Festival in Berlin, Germany and a nomination for First Time Narrative Feature Award for Directing at the 2010 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.
