The Warnayaka Art Centre, a 100% Aboriginal-owned indigenous art centre, is located in Lajamanu, in Australia's Northern Territory. Lajamanu is about half way between Alice Springs and Darwin, in the Tanami Desert. Lajamanu has a population of around 900 Warlpiri people and their culture, traditions, and stories - both past and present - are part of their vibrant art. Warnayaka's mission is the preservation and advancement of traditional and contemporary Warlpiri art and culture from Lajamanu.
