The writing, photography, and film of Tabore Rector

Born in NYC, I am a writer, photographer and filmmaker currently living in Brooklyn.  I have a degree in anthropology and video journalism at Brooklyn College. I lived abroad for two years in France and North Africa.  My first short film, 'the pistols of Paris' was awarded the National Endowment for the Arts individual artists' grant.  My second short film, 'White Wine in the Summer' was an official selection of the New York Independent Film Festival.  In Paris, I worked with the Kilometer Zero literary journal, and once we crashed the Cannes film festival and set up a tent on the pavilion and showed our films on the beach!  It was at this time I got the idea for a camera rig to capture nuance and action aesthetically.  Since then I've perfected the technique shooting weddings and events in and around New York.  This is my first feature film.
