Carl Blake grew up on a family farm near New Hartford, Iowa. He is an inventor at heart, with a college degree and years of experience in computer programming and tech startups. Over a decade ago, he decided to return to his farming roots. His mission to craft a better, healthier, more delicious pig began in 2007. The result is the Iowa Swabian Hall. His ground breaking pork has won awards at the prestigious Cochon 555 and has been lauded by chefs around the country.
