In 2015, Amy Hesketh received the Reconocimiento award from the Bolivian Government for pioneering the New Wave of Bolivian Cinema with her break-out film SIRWIÑAKUY. Since then, Amy has collectively written, produced, directed, and acted in over 12 feature-length films, pushing the boundaries for female directors and filmmakers, and the limitations for cinema itself. Amy resides in the Pacific Northwest, and teaches film production at Olympic College.
