Sam Tranum is a writer from Massachusetts who's been living and working in Kolkata for a year and a half. He recently finished a book on India's energy shortage for a New Delhi publisher. He has written for publications in the US for six years, edited for an Indian newspaper for a year, and taught journalism at a university in Kyrgyzstan for two years. He has an MA in international relations from the University of Chicago, and has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Turkmenistan.
